Original Bill of Lading A negotiable paper document, often used where payment or title control is important.

Telex Release The carrier releases cargo at destination after receiving the release instruction, without presenting the original bill.

Sea Waybill A non-negotiable transport document; the consignee normally collects cargo after identity and release checks.

Straight Bill and Order Bill A Straight Bill names a specific consignee. An Order Bill may be transferred by endorsement.

The shipper provides accurate shipping instructions and the carrier issues the selected transport document.
